Several years back, I created a simple animation of Kirby machinery. (Before AI) I'm really hoping we get similar visuals in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie!

This latest commission is taking heroes from the 40's COMICS CAVALCADE and putting them in an unexpected situation. In this case-- skinny dipping! (Btw, this depicts friends having goofy fun together. It's NOT any kind of social commentary. Please don't try to turn it into one.)

Another finished commission! Based on a famous Superman/Spider-Man cover--

15 years ago, or so, I made a pitch to Marvel. They weren't currently using Spider-Ham and it caught their interest. They asked me the purpose of the story. "Is it a parody of modern society or politics? Etc..." Hmm. I'm not against any of that, but I just wanted it to be funny.

Some artists sometimes post "wind-down" art. After drawing all day, I don't much feel like doing another drawing to wind down. BUT, I DO find coloring relaxing. For the last few days I've worked on adding color to a Batman black-ink-only commission from earlier this year.

Did you know yesterday was the 58th anniversary of Star Trek? Here's something I've long wondered-

WIth this latest commission, the person requesting gave me a few different covers to choose from in recreating the art. I, of course, chose the one with the goofy monster!

Another commission finished. Some of you may recognize Glorious Godfrey from DC Comics. The other character is the patron's creation. They both have voice-related powers. It's tricky to come up with a "fight scene" when they're both just talking! 😋

I adore this self-portrait by Jack Kirby (with inks by Joe Sinnott). I couldn't stop myself from coloring it. (I didn't try very hard to stop.)

Hmm. Do I try to explain this one? In my finished commission, 1990's characters are meeting their 1960's counterparts. Whereas the original cover shows 1960's characters meeting their 1940's counterparts. Aww, comics. 😊
