L.A. Times management has notified me that 94 L.A. Times Guild 🦅 members are being notified of intended layoff today, or about one-fourth of our whole membership.
This total, while devastating, is nonetheless far lower than the total number of Guild layoffs initially expected last week.
It's sad we're here again, but if you work for the Los Angeles Times, or any news organization, and have recently been laid off or are worried about losing your job, DM us and we'll give you access to the largest journalism job board in the world for free.
