This is both scientifically unsound and completely unethical. We don't even understand the molecular mechanisms for why APP mutations effect AD risk... Someone PLEASE strip this man of his research funds/access. How tf did he get out of prison anyway!?

Your PhD is about the evolution of your mindset. It proceeds through personal research experience, mentorship and development of key skills. This is why PhD in STEM: - is NOT about a thesis (very few people will read it) - is NOT about finish your advisor’s project - is NOT

Frankly, it’s embarrassing. And how will we create the economy of tomorrow without substantial increases in funding the science of today. And that includes significant increases in numbers and amounts of scholarships and doubling TriCouncil funding Chrystia Freeland François-Philippe Champagne (FPC) 🇨🇦

I was fully planning on revoking my US citizenship for tax purposes (once I have Canadian citizenship) until I heard of #HR5432 The Americans Abroad Simplified Filing Act of 2023. The US will lose many valuable citizens in the coming decades if this isn't passed!

"The fact that neuronal cells act or react in measurable ways, does not mean that they intend to perform a task and understand how to do it." Personification of brain organoids in science communication is a "mereological fallacy" and should not be done. tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…

This is terrifying. Not the headline... I'm familiar with the science. No, what's terrifying is how far I had to dig through my news notifications to find this story. What's terrifying is that this headline is not #trending on every social media platform. 1/4

1/ I’m an Israeli academic. My community is still too silent about the war in Gaza. Following my viral tweet last month, this is the updated & expanded version of how I see things based on >1000 articles and 1000s of videos/images of the war. 🧵of summary conclusions:

To the men “not all men”-ing in my comments section, a quick reminder…. We know. We know it’s not all men. We also know that it’s ENOUGH men that we have no way to determine WHICH men. And you men allow it to continue. Until it’s no men, I’ll remain #TeamBear.
