Quite emotional to now be the proud custodian of the Memorial Plaque to Private Edward Nicholson 10th battalion Australian Infantry who was killed in action 23 August 1916 at Mouquet Farm. His mother received the Plaque on 22nd May 1922 Paul Reed RUE DE BOIS WW1cemeteries.com










Captain John Williams 16th Btn Welsh Regiment. Wales Rugby International. Led an attack on Mametz Wood, Somme on this day 1916. Badly wounded by shrapnel, his leg was amputated and he died on 12th July. Not forgotten. Welsh Rugby Union 🏴 WalesOnline 🏴 BBC Wales 🏴 Cardiff Rugby
