As Bearcats, we won't watch helplessly as others ignore social distancing and jeopardize our school year. We must advocate for people to make the right choice.

The 7-day rolling average of new COVID cases in Nodaway County hit double digits again. And even as the threat the virus poses remains the same, the gravity of the pandemic seems to have worn off. “I thought it would be a little better now, but it’s not.” nwmissourinews.com/news/article_e…

As expected, we're seeing a slight spike in cases again. Bearcats, it's not time to relax just yet. We must continue to be diligent in our masking and distancing. We've been doing great so far, so let's keep it up!

After 26 new COVID-19 cases were reported yesterday, Nodaway County surpassed the 1,000 total case mark since the virus first arrived in April, as cases continue to spike again at Northwest and throughout the county. “We’re not out of the woods yet.” nwmissourinews.com/news/article_c…

I know how tempting it is to relax your mitigation efforts. However, as we are seeing with this spike in cases, we aren't in the clear yet. Bearcats, let's get back on track. Wear your mask. Practice social distancing. Maintain good hygiene. Let's make the change we want to see.

👇👇👇 Also check out the editorial in today's The Maryville Forum . Cases are spiking and hospitalizations are up in the region. This is NOT the time to pull back on mitigation strategies. Wear a mask, stay 6' apart, wash your hands, stay home if quarantined.

49 cases of #COVID19 City of Maryville. Prayers for recovery! Aside from health, 60-70% of those were likely employed. Imagine if 3 coworkers are quarantined for each. That’s an est. 100 persons from the work force for next 14 days. The health & economic impacts are real!#WearAMask

With Missouri averaging 4,692 cases per day in the last week, shutdown and stay at home type legislation is making its way back into cities. This late in the game, it’s redundant but wear your mask and maybe don’t crowd the bars
