May is Military Appreciation Month. For me, it's a time to reflect not just on the service and sacrifice of those in uniform, but also the incredible families who serve alongside us. I'm grateful for this family! ♥️ #MilitaryAppreciationMonth

Dust storms, burn pits, and camel spiders at Tallil Air Base but also camaraderie, movie nights, and shared purpose. We definitely made the most of it in our down time. Some great memories with a great team.

Leadership means owning the risk—for your mission, your team, and those who count on you. I learned that as a new flight lead in combat, making split-second decisions under pressure. The stakes may differ, but the responsibility to lead well is universal. #LeadWithCourage

Coming home from a deployment was a mix of emotions. There was joy in reuniting with family & friends but also a sense of loss. Part of me felt like I had left something behind. The challenge is to find new purpose and to honor what you’ve experienced while embracing what’s next.

Being a mom to my boys is one of the most challenging & fulfilling roles I've ever taken on. My time as an A-10 pilot had its own challenges. But some days? Being a mom is even tougher. There’s no checklist or emergency procedure. But every challenge every sacrifice? So worth it.

Sometimes, the hardest chapters in life are the ones that prepare us the most . . . They test us, stretch us, and push us to discover what we’re truly capable of. We all face hard chapters. What matters is how we respond, how we grow, and how we carry those lessons forward.

One thing I’ve learned from my time in combat is that leadership isn’t about having a perfect plan or things going as expected. It’s about navigating uncertainty, adapting to the situation, making the best decision with the information you have, and having the courage to step up.

In combat, trust is life. Ground troops know the sound of an A-10 means someone has their six. In business and life -- who has yours? And whose six do you have?

Crosswinds test a pilot’s focus, adaptability, and precision. You can’t fight them with force -- you adjust with smooth, intentional inputs to stay on course. Leadership is no different. Conditions won’t always be perfect. Stay flexible, stay focused, and fly the airplane first.

On Memorial Day, we visit the Air Force Academy Cemetery to honor friends & classmates, gone far too soon. Each name tells a story of service, courage, commitment & sacrifice. It’s a moment to reflect & remember. It's also a reminder to live fully, in their honor. Never Forget.

Sometimes, the best move isn’t to push forward—it’s to go around. Pilots train for it. If conditions aren’t right to land, we climb, reset, and try again. The same applies in leadership and life. Don’t let ego keep you from making the right call.

This American flag flew with me on every mission in the A-10 through training and in combat. To me, it’s a reminder of what we fight for, the values we stand for, and those who gave everything in its defense. 🇺🇸 #FlagDay

When I told my dad I wanted to be a fighter pilot, he didn’t tell me it wasn’t possible even though women weren’t allowed to be fighter pilots then. He told me to go for it & do the work. Grateful for the dads who believe in us & help us become the best version of ourselves.

Trust is everything in an A-10 squadron. Pilots trust teammates to speak up, own mistakes & have each other’s backs -- in the air & on the ground. Trust is the foundation that holds everything together. It’s built thru intentional effort & self-awareness. Trust starts with you.

Today is In-Processing Day at the Air Force Academy. I still remember my own I-Day . . . 32 years ago! I was excited. I was nervous. I had worked so hard to get there, and now it was finally real. Terrifying and exciting . . . like so many things in life!

Taking risks can feel uncomfortable, maybe even too risky. But what if we considered not just risk but opportunity on the other side? Leading with courage = being willing to take smart risks & encouraging your team to do the same. That’s how we find creative ways to get to yes.
