Starting to come down pretty good in Teller County! 2-3" still seems like a reasonable forecast to me, locally 4". Roads can become slick out west overnight! ☃️ 📸 Colorado Department of Transportation

Prolonged heavy rain from the southside of the Springs to Pueblo. Ponding on roadways and even localized flooding may be possible! 🌧

Another storm system on the way for Friday! Uncertainties remain, but some models are starting to suggest it may be a bit stronger. In that case, more widespread snow and multiple inches of accumulation can be expected. Stay tuned! kktv.com/weather

Alerting You First: fire danger will be up and down the next few days, but could be high at times! Winds won't be too crazy, and increasing clouds and the ongoing green-up process will be mitigating factors. kktv.com/weather

Some spotty fire danger Friday, followed by high to critical fire danger Saturday! And then, in typical Colorado fashion, we could see snow on Sunday! Tune in all morning for the details or head to kktv.com/weather for more.

Our storm system is passing to the north, sparking a few showers over the Plains and a lot more over the mountains. For now, the air at lower elevations is too dry for rain/snow, but that will change later tonight! kktv.com/weather

Surprise! Winds are strong and near-blizzard conditions are occurring while many roads are covered. Take it slow or postpone travel for a couple of hours! Also, temperatures have plummeted into the teens and wind chills are close to zero at times. 🥶
