World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler may be eight shots back, but he's still hopeful for a Sunday run to the U.S. Open title. My story for Post-Gazette Sports Pittsburgh Post-Gazette post-gazette.com/sports/us-open…

Rain is supposed to make Oakmont easier to play... The fairways get softer and the greens attackable. In theory. Yet, with all the rain that has pummeled the Pittsburgh area, Sam Burns is the ONLY player under par and he's only at 2-under with 10 holes to go. Post-Gazette Sports

Just filed my last U.S. Open story for Post-Gazette Sports It was a thrill to be a part of the coverage team with Gerry Dulac, King Jemison, Jason Mackey & Paul Zeise. My thanks to Ryan Winn and Chris Dell 🧪 for letting me be part of the team. Hope to be back for the Women in 2028!

The putt by J.J. Spaun was amazing and a great finish to a slog of a final round Even if he misses, he would have still had a par putt to win. It was a nice finish, but it certainly doesn't rival Johnny Miller's 63 in '73 or Ernie Els beating Loren Roberts in sudden death in '94
