Twenty years ago today, Hungary joined the European Union. We now know that we can never take this historic achievement for granted & we fight for our European future with everything we’ve got. ❤️🇪🇺🇭🇺

This move from the Brussels police today was unacceptable & a clear violation of free speech. You don’t fight far-right authoritarians by becoming like them.

The Orban gov’t has invited Chinese police officers to patrol in Hungary. Let that sink in: they’re constantly rambling on about sovereignty, vowing to protect it from Brussels—then welcome police forces of a totalitarian dictatorship.

On the initiative of our MEP Katalin Cseh, the European Parliament will debate the issue of the illegal Chinese police stations & patrols in Hungary on the 10th April.

Now it will be Fidesz MEPs turn to report on why Hungarian and EU citizens will be made vulnerable to the CCP.
