WATCH: A US military plane arrives in Jersey overnight to take deep sea equipment to help in the search for missing sub Titan. The boss of CI based company Magellan tells me: “we have an incredible track record at depth” ITV Channel News ITV News

Magellan have ROV - remote operated vehicles - that were recently used to produce the first ever digital scan of the Titanic shipwreck. The deep-water investigation specialist used two submarines to produce 700,000 images of the wreck, which were then made into a moving scan.

Those search subs have also been used in British waters, most recently in Jersey after a fishing boat collided with a freight ship and sank. Their vessel the MV FREJA carried out a survey search and assisted in the recovery of the bodies of the fishermen on board
