On Friday we joined colleagues from the Right to Rehab coalition at Scottish Labour's Conference in Glasgow. It was great to hear Jackie Baillie give her support to our campaign on ensuring everyone has the access to the rehab they need, for as long as they need it.

Day 2 at Holyrood and we are joined by Sarah Jane Donald from NHS Lanarkshire who works in their young onset dementia team. We are looking forward to the MSPs trying out the Rookwood assessment and learning more about how occupational therapy can support their constituents.

📰Have you read April's edition of OT News yet? On Page 8 you will see our article on the exhibition we held last month in the Scottish Parliament. We were delighted to meet with 30+ politicians, including Neil Gray MSP and Liam McArthur MSP alongside Fiona Maclean and Sarah Jane.

📰Huge thanks to Foysol Choudhury MSP for Lothian for writing this article about how Occupational Therapy is the solution to many of our health and social care challenges. We met Foysol last month in Parliament at our exhibition and are grateful for his continued support. nen.press/2025/04/25/bui…

Huge congratulations to Charlie Chung for his Casson Lecture last night. It was an inspiring talk which focused on how he has achieved great success in his career thanks to others supporting him & how we all have the opportunity to open doors for others. rcot.co.uk/discover-membe…

Last night Catherine McDerment and I were delighted to be at the RCPCH Scotland's parliamentary reception to celebrate the launch of their report on community child health services in Scotland. Investment across all professions is needed to ensure effective care for all children and YP.

So pleased to see this role advertised. So few and far between opportunities in Scotland and a great first step for someone! Contact John Watson, Stroke Association if you have any questions 😀
