I really feel for many journalists. It has become a very unforgiving profession. Trauma impact is immense.

There is a need for trauma informed communication by government agencies in response to this horrific event. Just remember, PTSD often does not present immediately. Appropriate validation the moment someone discloses to you can often save years of therapy and ongoing distress.

Unfortunately government agencies front line staff often make the situation worse. I am talking about agencies where people disclose such as icare, service nsw etc. Well intentioned does not mean trauma informed. Blue Knot Foundation provides excellent training. Please use experts.
