If the City of Cleveland doesn't fund West Side Market renovations then all hope is lost for this city. It is one of the biggest tourist and iconic places in the entire city. Not only that is a public good the benefits the entire city if not region.
The elevator fiasco West Side Market is just one example of landlord neglect. And we the vendors are not only tenants, every one of us pays income taxes to Cleveland. Our voices deserve to be heard.
The narrative has been that the $15mil goes to something other than infrastructure improvements ie (produce arcade bars) that’s simply not the case the money is for much needed repairs that fru-fru stuff will be paid for by CPMC get it right CleCityCouncil #squabblers

On #NationalTourismDay, I want to recognize the West Side Market. A gem and Cleveland icon, the market welcomes more visitors than almost any other attraction in our city every year. Let’s set up West Side Market for another 100 years of success with funding for basic repairs.
