The 19th Century Chromatic Turn is also the subject of the ERC Chromotope project. The article, "Giving a New Status to a Dyes Collection: A Contribution to the Chromotope Project" by @CarrAnneLaure1 & Irene Bilbao Zubiri describes progress on the project. mdpi.com/2571-9408/6/2/…

This article in Rolling Stone is a hell of a read. “I saw who was building the AI systems and their points of view. I saw what they were being used for, and I was like, ‘Oh, my God, we have a problem.’ ” — Timnit Gebru rollingstone.com/culture/cultur…

Steve Coogan's piece last night for Liberal Democrats conference saying he would normally vote Labour but will be campaigning with the Liberal Democrats candidate in Lewes to help topple Tory Maria Caulfield CBE I sincerely hope they succeed. Tactical voting at the next GE 👍🏼

I can't agree more. It is despicable that first past the post leads to parties with such a small proportion of the vote getting all the power. I really hope tactical voting can get us closer to changing the system to, the much fairer, proportional representation.

Hurray! This has made it from the purely digital world into the latest physical issue of Jnl.VictorianCulture! I love that it is alongside an article on Eugene Sandow & the embodied qualities of love letters...

It is with a very heavy heart that we share the news that Professor Jim Davis passed away on Saturday 4th November. Everyone who had the pleasure of encountering Jim will appreciate that this is a huge loss for his family, friends, colleagues, and the wider research community.
