I found another use for my Pinecil. Currently set at 180 C, cleaning up some over-adhered support material. Rough results on the right, the “before” on the left. I can live with that. Soon, I’ll make a tool to thread into the heat set insert tool for more precise shaping.

It also fits in here. You can get aggressive and cut like a chisel, or you can drag in the opposite direction to smooth the material rather than cutting into it. It’s kind of like sculpting clay but with the risk of burning yourself. I have yet to solder with this tool.
