As data custodians, healthcare institutions are obliged by law to protect patient confidentiality. But that does not mean patients are unwilling to have their data shared for research if it's been deidentified. Indeed, many patients are surprised this isn't standard practice.

We're thrilled to announce that four Canadian research teams will receive nearly $20 million over the next four to five years as recipients of the prestigious Terry Fox New Frontiers Program Project Grants (PPGs), bringing the total number of active PPGs to a record-breaking 20!
