(1/2) Today, Karla MacFarlane, Minister Responsible for the Status of Women, with artist Jo Napier, unveiled a portrait of Alexa McDonough. Alexa made history in 1980 as the 1st woman in Canada to lead a major, recognized political party when she was elected leader of the NS NDP.

Applications Open now for NS Heating Assistance Rebate Program. Help with home heating costs is now available for Nova Scotians living on low incomes. The income threshold to qualify for the program is $29,000 for single-income households and $44,000 for family-income households.
