New weekend reading has arrived 😃😃😃 after an initial skim through I can see already how much practical advice it contains

Siblings can be blooming awesome! 3 adults brought up by two wonderful parents who took very different routes, have very different careers, raise beautiful children and are happy. We are blessed.

This week's reading has taken me on a journey into really early development of mathematical thinking considering prerequisite skills, sensory factors and possible structures for progression. Definitely lots of food for thought

This was just what we needed today, wholesome and screen free family time for a few hours

When you take them away from the pressure of conforming in school each day all the niggles and arguments ease right up and they're best of friends again

Every autistic child needs people they can be truly themselves around, the parents of autistic children need people they can be truly themselves around. Every time it feels our world is coming tumbling down I'm grateful for these people, not least my mum.

Parenting fails today: took Zilla to football camp in sports appropriate clothes that didn't look like a football kit and got the date mixed up for Tink's musical theatre workshop meaning she missed it ... This is not me! I love the holidays but clearly need routine 😬

Some children were not made to be still, focussing hard on sitting still may actually mean they are less able to focus on learning. These children have so much to give when we, as educators, adapt to meet their needs. My monkey child is no exception! #autism #SEND

Super proud of my Tink who was back on stage again today. Freya has such challenges with anxiety at the moment but when she assumes a character on stage all that seems to melt away.

Sometimes a girls day is just what you need... Sailing (spectating for me) followed by a joyful evening at Lord of the Dance
