Three students from Park House School opened our Trustee Day this morning. They talked about the great things going on in the school since it joined GLT and the impact that is having on their lives. It was an excellent reminder to us of why we do what we do. Looking forward to my visit

It’s Governor Awareness Day today! I am always aware of the wonderful work that our schools’ governors do Greenshaw Learning Trust to improve the lives of children. Looking forward to our training later today. #alwayslearning

Looking forward to my day with staff, students and governors Park House School. My focus today is on students who are being supported in a special way and learning about the careers advice and guidance that was provided during Careers Week.

Totally agree Claire Kirby and it is down to you and your colleagues for sensitively and consistently applying the school’s/Trust’s policies that have brought your wonderful students to this point. Thank you.

My Dad. Born 100 years ago today. One of 12 children, grew up in poverty, little education but became a successful businessman and golfer. The best dad anyone could wish for. Missed every day.

Today is National Thank a Teacher Day. I hope that teachers are thanked every day - by pupils, parents, peers, school leaders, trust colleagues, agencies they work with, etc. If you haven’t thanked one yet, thank two. It will be much appreciated.

BREAKING: The villages in Florida, typically dominated by MAGA extremists, have been completely taken over by Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign. This is a remarkable turnaround. Retweet so all Americans see this campaign’s energy and enthusiasm.

Teachers, never forget the impact that you have on your pupils. I have had a wonderful afternoon with a boy (he tells me he is 55!) who was in my tutor group from Y7 to Y13. It was so interesting to hear of his life experiences and made me feel proud to have taught him. John Glyn Williams

Haven’t seen any other posts about the fantastic show at Woking theatre on Saturday. The voices of Robert Plant, Suzi Dian and Matt Worley were stunning and wowed the crowd. We had seen #SavingGrace before but this was at another level.

Am I missing something here? Someone who works for my bank has pressed a button to create this cheque and has sent it (in the mail) for me to drive (5 miles) to the nearest bank and deposit the cheque (cost of £5.00 to deposit). The sum I would be paying in would be £0.05.
