One of the reasons I left a teaching job after 1 year in VA 42 years ago was I was told I must paddle my third graders for disciplinary reasons. I refused.

Watching Sat evening news on ABC News. In the future, please do not identify an early childhood educator as a "Day care worker". The teacher interviewed cares for children, not days so identify her as a child care provider or an early childhood educator, but NOT a "day care worker".

I did teach my university students preparing to be teachers what to do in an active shooter situation. No other college major has to do that. No wonder people are choosing other fields.😥

I am sick and tired of getting messages like this in my inbox: "Teachers! Unlock all the benefits you deserve to set up your classroom this year". Name one other profession that gets messages to save money to do their job.😬
