‘This House would scrap plans to make all cars electric in the UK’, a highly pertinent question posed by SES students this week. Current, returning & future debating captains took part in a rhetorical battle for the Oswald Elliott Cup. A great debate was had from all sides.

Huge congratulations to Harry in Y9 at Stamford School, who has won the 14–17-year category in pitch_mag ‘Young Sports Journalist Awards’. His article ‘Paid by the Step’ discussed why professional sports players are overpaid. Harry's article will be in the next issue!

Year 9 academic and aspiring scholars have been developing their intellectual curiosity through a mini-EPQ-style project, formulating their own questions on various topics such as, ‘Is animal testing justified in the 21st century?’ 🌐

On Saturday, Stamford School welcomed parents, pupils and Old Stamfordians to their annual speech day celebrations. OS17 George Robinson was the guest speaker, inspiring the audience with a motivational speech noting the difference between opportunity and change.
