If your son/daughter has to be “talked into” pursuing college ball, you’re setting them up to fail. Every athlete has different goals and dreams. Don’t make yours theirs.

Pretty simple IMO.

Right now, the highest indicator of future success/opportunity is velocity. (Not debatable)

Kids then train to throw 100, and believe they can FIO later in regards to pitch-ability. (mostly true)

They realize that throwing 88-91 means selling insurance.
