Our Kinders & Third Graders identified words that will inspire them throughout the new year. It’s really neat to capture the students’ perspectives as they look ahead to the different learning opportunities that awaits them. It’s going to be an AWESOME year!!! #CougarCubPride

Happy 100th Day!🎉 Our Kinder students enjoyed celebrating their 100th day of school. Can’t believe how much the students have grown since their first day. Time flies by when you are having fun and learning. #CougarCubPride

Thank you to Kids4CPR for helping to create lifesaving HEroes and SHEroes out of our Grade 4 & 5 students. Our students learned how to perform CPR and use an AED to save a life. #CreatingABetterWorld

It was a full house as we hosted the amazing Niu Valley Middle Band & Orchestra. It was a great opportunity to enjoy some wonderful music and reconnect with Kamiloiki alumni. We especially enjoyed the guest conductors who got to “direct” their older siblings in a song.

In celebration of Women’s History Month, we just wanted to highlight a group of awesome young women who are sharpening their skills to become the next generation of female engineers. Mahalo to the Girls Who Code advisors for providing our students with these valuable experiences.

We are so proud of these Gr. 5 students who coordinated a walk/bike/ride to school event in order to address the issue of global warming. This issue served as the focus for their PYP Exhibition and it’s great to see them leading our school community in creating a better world.

A BIG mahalo to the Polynesian Cultural Center for providing our Grade 3 students with such an amazing learning day. From dance to cooking to weaving to games & the most popular one, tattoos, all of the engaging experiences helped our students to explore the diverse cultures in the Pacific.

On this year’s Service Day, our entire school community got their hands “dirty” to create genki balls. From the smallest to the largest hand, we had so much fun working together to support the ongoing efforts to improve the water quality in the Ala Wai Canal. #CougarCubPride

As a continuation of our school’s Service Day, our Gr. 5 students went to the Ala Wai Canal to make observations of the human impacts on the surrounding biosphere. They explored the effects that the genki balls would have on the environment and the improvements that would result.

In providing purpose to their learning, our Gr. 5 students shared their new knowledge of “How the World Works” w/Gr. 1 friends. The 5th graders taught the 1st graders about day/night, constellations, gravity & shadows through different hands-on activities. #LearningCommunity
