5/14, 22:24 One owlet slipped off of the ledge. It is very unlikely injured but is not fully flighted. Owlets are adept at this age at using their talons and beak to climb trees. While the rock may prove too difficult, a nearby tree could be promising. Parents will find the owlet

5/17 Thanks to Bill J. Boyd at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center we have great news to share. Bill has located the fledged owlet: "Owlet has been spotted - behind our entry kiosk fairly high in a tree. " Thanks for the picture to share!

I learned an amazing theorem today

New preprint! This is a hardcore technical paper on Thompson sampling - as a strategy for the so-called online learning game. I think it's one of the most long-term important things I have ever worked on due to what it makes possible. But that needs explaining - thread below!
