UNICEF Uganda commends Parliament of Uganda for opening up space to listen to different stakeholders on their views on the budgets as this is the only way to make budgets relevant for the people, and ensure progress can be made towards results, especially for children.

With The country’s population growing at 3%, more than 1.5 million newborns each year and more than half (53.1%) of the whole population being children below 18 years , it's now more than ever, time to design a budget mainly focused on sectors that support children.
