LAPD kettled people in around 4:45pm. We had no warning. We didn’t get the emergency alerts til 5:13pm that we had an unlawful assembly. LAPD is attempting to escalate with DTLA protestors. They certainly did with me on my entry into the subway. Here’s what they told/did to me

Whoa! Hats off to ABC News reporter Matt Gutman for keeping his cool yesterday. This LAPD officer needs to be relieved of duty if he can’t handle an alleged “touch” without snapping.

The bulk of the damage in the City of LA has been like a 8 block by 5 block area. 99.9% of the City has been unaffected. The way people from outside of LA talk about the unrest is so disconnected from reality.

Can confirm, as Jack Harris reported, that ICE agents attempted to access Dodger Stadium this morning but were denied by the Dodgers. Images had circulated this morning of agents appearing to use the parking lots as a staging area.

The police’s protocol states that officers may only fire these rounds at specific individuals who pose an immediate threat, not to disperse crowds. Even if a target poses a threat, officers are prohibited from targeting the head unless lethal force is authorized.
