God’s love for us isn’t contingent on how well we practice spiritual disciplines. But spiritual disciplines awaken our hearts to experientially know His love.

We’re all messed up and need Jesus.

What we will our minds with is what we fixate on. God gives us this filter for our thoughts: whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, excellent, or worthy of praise.

Nothing is a surprise to God. There is no unforeseen event He needs to react to. Before we ever know there is a problem, He has already prepared the provision.

Christ is the bread of life, Without Him, we’re hungry. Christ is the light of the world, Without Him, we’re in darkness. Christ is the good shepherd, Without Him, we’re lost. Christ is the true vine, Without Him, we’re withered.

God’s redirection is for your protection. Things might seem like a coincidence, but ALL is governed by God’s providence.

The devil is more likely to dull your affections over a decade than destroy your soul in a day.

Noah prayed, his family were rescued. Hannah prayed, Samuel was born. Asa prayed, victory was won. Isaiah prayed, the Assyrians fell. Esther prayed, her people were saved. Elijah prayed, fire fell from heaven. Jesus prayed, thousands were fed. God answers prayer!

When asked, 'What is more important: Prayer or Reading the Bible?' I ask, 'What is more important: Breathing in or Breathing out?'

At its root, fear of surrender is unbelief that God Himself is better than what He is asking us to give up. The question is, do we truly want Him more than anything because we believe that He is better than everything?

God works through the lives of single people just like He did with Paul. God works through the life of married people just like He did with Peter. Your relationship status does not equip you for ministry, your relationship with God does. Whether single or married, live for Him.

It is one of the temptations of the devil to tell you not to pray when you do not feel like praying. Pray twice as much then.
