1. The way you make/laugh off sexist jokes sends a message to those present that misogyny and sexism is acceptable. It perpetuates a culture of it. 2. The way you tell girls to cover up sends a message that their bodies are inherently sexual defining them as a sexual object.

Wayne Swan Labor needs to reform the Reserve Bank of Australia. It needs a new mandate and a new culture. I hope you use your influence to achieve lasting change on this issue. I’m tired of Labor tinkering at the edges rather than leading genuine reform Jim Chalmers MP Wayne Swan

Former Supreme Court judge, Stephen Charles, on the highly questionable conduct of the #NACC & Paul Brereton, the man entrusted to lead it. The entire #NACC+#Robodebt scandal stinks like an old outhouse. While it remains unresolved, it will never go away. johnmenadue.com/the-naccs-refu…

Yep, all these problems have been caused by lockdowns. Nothing to do with babies and children being repeatedly infected with C19 and opportunistic infections. Nothing at all 🙄 theguardian.com/education/arti…

I’m in a large mums group on social media. Working people are struggling to keep a roof over their heads. Women can’t afford to leave abusive relationships and even if they could, there are no rentals. Social media age restrictions would not be top 30 on their priority list.

The two biggest threats to the future health of Australians and other western countries are normalisation and denial. Governments are using normalisation and denial to justify abrogating their responsibilities to protect population health
