It is with profound sadness that I share the passing of my sweet boy, my best friend and my loyal partner. I will never be the same. I am so thankful for the privilege of having you in my life.

The FCSO Honor Guard will be honoring Mattis with a memorial service on Tuesday July 30th. Due to limited space the service is open to SWCSD staff and students, law enforcement, and FCSO staff. A live stream of the service will be available for the public on the FCSO Facebook.

Today Westland High School were presented with Mattis’ collar, badge and leash that he wore every day as well as a picture of him. His legacy lives on.
