Up and running in years 1-6, let's get those little ones excited about the writing rainbow 🫶 Jane Considine another great day's training 👌
Great to see TheChattyTeacher today and welcome Pauline Allen to lead us on editing and proof-reading 🖋 @ShirelandTP
Very proud to have spoken at the Teach Like a Champion celebratory event last week, although I look lost in the picture, it was a great experience. Thank you again for all the help and support Doug Lemov and Simon Cains
So proud of our year 1 class, second unit in and such good progress. Here's one pupil's efforts roughly a month and a half apart #queenshat #stormwhale Jane Considine
Describing our writing journey for the first time 'including a consistent approach from eyfs - y6!' Fantastic sharing some of our children's work today with other teachers and being able to see the effort and quality of what our pupils have produced Jane Considine
Appreciation/Inspiration post, eyfs teachers...how do you do it? Our amazing Mrs Cains' first complete Jane Considine unit 😍
One thing we've learnt on our #thewritestuff journey is never to neglect the experience days...really happy with my group's show of empathy and understanding of Riley's move from inside out, in preparation for 'The 'Comet' unit Jane Considine
Something different with those not on Residential in y3...you're on a boat, swallowed by a wave, spit out on a deserted island: describe your arrival onto shore. Stimulus, plan, write, edit/proofread/publish in under an hour! So much fun with them this morning Jane Considine
First write back of the new academic year for year 4, enjoying Jane Considine's #bikeboy "Bolting along the zebra crossing of the bright town, he observed intensely and wanted to know more" 🫶
I've been asked what I have to do to plan effectively for a writing lesson...truth is, Jane Considine 's plans are so detailed, I create and scribble across my cheat sheet, then label my means of participation and how I will engage/hook the class, I feel this is manageable 👍
Our ks1 team are committed to finding the right layout and pitch for their class, Year 1 have started their stacking journey with Jane Considine's #thewaybackhome by Oliver Jeffers and are loving it 🫶 Well done Year 1 ❤️
Hugely impressed with the conclusion of our first unit, #bikeboy from the Jane Considine unit plan. The children adapted the 'coming of age' story to describe the evolution of a young caterpillar, eager to mature into a butterfly. Love how the journey supported their own plans ❤️
"Hardest part is letting go...setting them off to write their independent piece" Heard this so much, but with the ideas pitched in Jane Considine 's firework maker's daughter plan, the application from their guided journey was smooth and enjoyable ❤️ Lila > Mulan 👌
