On one hand, not that surprising. Cooper has near universal name ID, while Whatley has very low name ID. This presents both an opportunity and a challenge. Whatley has to define himself before his opponent does it for him.

.Todd Hunter emphasizes that drawing maps based on “political performance” is entirely permitted under the Constitution. Democrats have and will criticize this redraw as conducted on racial lines. Hunter is countering that. Also underscores the Petteway ruling about coalition

Team USA has taken A LOT of heat over the last few days, but the medal table speaks for itself. This team was dealt a HORRIBLE hand and has powered through it pretty damn well. A lot to learn from as we move into 2026, 2027, and 2028, but you can't deny that the talent is there.

Ironic to see reports Democrats are abandoning their job in Texas over “redistricting” by traveling to Illinois. The Democrat drawn congressional map in Illinois over-performs in favor of Democrats by about 30 points (82.23% of seats vs. 52.78% of the vote in 2024) compared to

Punchbowl News says Vice President JD Vance to Indiana to personally pressure Indiana Republicans to try and take out not just Frank Mrvan, but also Andre Carson. The Great Redistricting War of 2025 is really something.

Certainly sounds like Missouri Republicans are full steam ahead on redistricting. I got this statement from Lt. Gov. David Wasinger (R) last night, which reads in part: "We missed the chance to secure a 7-1 map in 2022, a mistake President Trump rightly calls on us to fix."

A very interesting thread. Includes FY25 projections. The top school in The ACC will make $65 million in FY25, which is not that far from the SEC/Big Ten. The bottom school in the league will make $35 million, which is about where the Big 12 payout is.
