Jim Morrison the lead singer of The Doors, died on July 3 1971 at the age of 27 in Paris France. He was found unresponsive in the bathtub of his apartment by his girlfriend, Pamela Courson. Since no autopsy was performed, the official cause of death was recorded as heart failure
