Traveled a bit to find this sold out QCAC tournament championship game between two of the state’s top teams. Well worth the drive. 11th gym of the year; contest #21.

February Madness as my friend says. High school playoffs in NC began tonight. Game #23 of 2023!

Happened by the NC Sports HOF this afternoon, a place that’s “home” to numerous individuals who were important to me in my professional history. Banners honoring three such notables just happen to be hanging side by side. Wonderful times with each.

Gotta love high school refs in the postseason who think fans are there to watch them. 15 fouls in the first quarter seems a little excessive IMO.

A big day of basketball starts in PNC Arena (for the final time this season).

After 42 (!) years with Wake Forest Men's Basketball , the best official scorer in the business works his last regular season game tonight. Fortunate to have served alongside Gary for 16 of those years and honored to count him as a friend still.

High school regional finals time and we’re at Morganton Freedom HS to support our local Bishop McGuinness squad. Great day all over the state.

For 27 years Sonjia Kurosky was Director of Samaritan Ministries, which provides a soup kitchen and men's shelter 365 days of the year. A memorial service for Sonjia, who retired in 2020, was today and the coming together of the W-S community to honor her was a blessing to behold
