Excited to put these awards out for a fifth year in a row & recognize all the best women's college basketball players in Texas.

There's so much talent across the state, from the biggest schools to the smallest schools. This year's awards really showcase that.

For POTY, we've got a player from arguably the biggest name in the state, Texas Women's Basketball.

For Coach of the Year, we have a first-year coach from a rising UNT Women's Basketball program.

For DPOY, we have a star at Lamar Women's Hoops, a program out of a Southland Conference that deserves more shine.

Also, this Coach of the Year decision might have been the toughest I've ever had to make.

Burton gets the award because of the huge turnaround at UNT, but Aqua Franklin, Vic Schaefer, & Mark Campbell all had very good cases for winning as well.
