Beck and Stockton combined for 83 passes today, so it was definitely not a balanced offense, but it usually isn't in the spring game. And, as Beck told ESPN+ afterward, it was 'very vanilla on both sides of the ball.' Main takeaway: Georgia in pretty good shape defensively.

Blacks tried to get in position for a FG but couldn't get quite close enough. They tried one anyway, but it was off target. So G-Day ends 20-20.

Beck shows off his arm on long throw downfield to RaRa, then connects with Lovett, who makes the catch in the end zone. But surprisingly they dont' go for 2, so PAT makes it 20-20

Blacks had it first and goal but Stockton and his receivers couldn't connect (one play was a great defensive effort) so kick a FG. Blacks pad lead 20-13

Reds go for it on fourth and 3 but another pass gets tipped. Defense definitely has shown up today.

A whistle-sack on 3rd-and-12 ends another drive for the Blacks.

Reds' drive falters and they have to punt again.

Stockton throws Blacks downfield for a score. They're up 17-13

Third-and-goal pass a tad high so Reds kick FG to go up 13-10

Third down pitch to Etienne not enough. Going for it on fourth and 1, Reds move the chains.

Beck back in for Reds. Going to the fourth quarter now. Not much happened offensively in the 3rd.

It's the Gunner Stockton show today. Now, he's back at QB for the Blacks. But drive goes nowhere. Time to punt.

Another punt. Now it's the Reds' turn again. Stockton now at QB for the Reds.

Blacks had to punt on first drive of second half and Reds didn't do much, either. Beck had another pass batted down (there's been a rash of those). Good for the starting defensive front, not so good for the starting OL.

Halftime thoughts:
-- We'd heard that offense was dominating spring practice, but defense is playing well today.
-- Some miscommunication between QBs and receivers on a few routes.
-- As with most G-Day games, emphasis has been on the passing game today.
