I had the opportunity to speak to the Choctaw County baseball team in February. I also had the chance to watch many of the games. Special group of Players, Coaches and Fans! Thanks Chargers for a special spring for The Grahams!
And people wonder why we do what we do! A meaningful relationship carries no monetary value, the value is directly deposited to the heart! If wins and losses are the only thing that defines you as a coach you are missing out on some great opportunities!
"You have to practice and play and behave like a winner if you want to win games.
You can't just decide you're going to be that day a winner.
That's not how it is.
You have to be that every single day in your approach and in your execution."
I was taught to "coach on the run." No yelling from across the field.
The best coaching happens between the reps. When you hustle to go where the athlete is, pause to look him in the eyes, coach him up and tell him you believe in him.
That’s when transformation begins.
It didn’t take long for The Juice to start flowing this morning on The Hill in the weight room with the Team. Good first day, A&E deposits and not a roller in site! Guys went to basketball, baseball or to work afterwards!
Big thanks to Nanih Waiya for coming to Ethel for 7 on 7 today. 3 guys in this picture I was fortunate enough to coach and now coaching with! 2 guys I was fortunate just coach with! I have been so blessed to be around great people in my journey!!
This was a moving moment from last night's Dave Van Horn press conference.
I get rivalries and all, but I don't know how you can't root for the man. He gets it.
