I met Debbie Harry for ⁦The Times and The Sunday Times⁩. normally I avoid meeting my heroes but at 79 she was even more awesome than I could ever have imagined. thetimes.com/article/d67c67…

My pleasure to interview Dr Joanna Moncrieff for The Times and The Sunday Times on her important views on how few of us -including docs who prescribe regularly - actually understand what antidepressants do to the brain or acknowledge they may be v harmful. Amazing how many just don’t want to hear this

Plea to @tfl PLEASE start fining people who watch TikTok on public transport without headphones. Or at least stick up some posters explaining why it's horrible. Seriously. It's ruining tubes

I met the other double-barrelled Welsh-named person, who told me all about nearly drowning for Netflix in the presence of Mel B, Boris Becker and Holly Willoughby telegraph.co.uk/tv/0/laurence-…

Total joy as someone who came of age in the 90s to speak to the woman who was the first to fully reflect the joy and anxieties of my generation of women. The new Bridget Jones film Mad About the Boy is VV funny and also as she enters middle age vv moving. Strongly recommend it

Hammersmith Bridge closed for nearly 6 yrs to traffic, finally - after a 4 yr gap - there's been a task force meeting. Now we hear Department for Transport insist its contents confidential. So much for openness Labour promised. Just be honest + say it will never reopen to motor vehicles.

Broken Britain. Hammersmith Bridge. Laughable if it wasn't so awful, 30 mins to walk over a major G7 river crossing. H&F Council Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan @Transportgovuk Michael Conway Millions wasted to date. And you're talking about a 3rd runway Rachel Reeves? Ross Lydall

yes - lest we imagined nothing more about Trump could shock and disgust us, today's attack on Zelensky was that of a deeply wicked individual whose presence in the White House is a deep stain on American history

Ian Fleming's original James Bond novels haven't aged well. For example, Moonraker - published almost exactly 70 years ago in April 1955 - features a villain who's a super-rich industrialist and rocket-maker seeking to cause chaos because he's a secret Nazi. Such a silly idea!

Huge response 2 interviewing neurologist Suzanne O’Sullivan on her brilliant book on overdiagnosis - so many docs + teachers saying the situation is “farcical“ excusing dire behaviour + stealing resources from ones who really need it ⁦Chris van Tulleken 🏳️‍🌈⁩ thetimes.com/article/9f8254…

Petty, jobsworthy, stupid - because books are non/combustible. Idiotic, philistine decree by London Fire Brigade to remove small element of joy from commuters’ lives. Please reconsider ⁦TfL⁩ thetimes.com/article/174331…

Great to meet the smart and funny Sascha Bailey talking about his near transitioning experience, while also providing humour and balance around this too-often crazily polarised issue

I met the still-got-it Pierce Brosnan - he didn’t want to talk about Bond (I don’t entirely blame him). Nonetheless, I asked. He’s keener on Harry Potter. telegraph.co.uk/gift/c6e17f056…
