Another review of #CPCC20 from our colleague Adam Edwards for Fafnir, highlighting the work of @Escogar Julia Gatermann Vincent @StinaAttebery @AgaWaszkiewicz and others ... enjoy the read: journal.finfar.org/articles/confe…

Looking forward to another great workshop day with #FictionMeetsScience, discussing human enhancement in history, science & literature with Julia Gatermann and Michael Fuchs (though I must admit, I miss those @HWK_IAS dinners together).

Through the figure of Viktoria Modesta, Julia Gatermann explores representations of disability that also burden those expected to represent themselves as superhuman through their prosthetics; a discourse of superability actually dehumanizes those being depicted #ICFA42

Last day of #GAPSnet2021 shapes up nicely as well! Just heard two great talks by Hayley G. Toth (made me want to check out "Noughts + Crosses") and @ACicholewskiMA on Esi Edugyan's "Washington Black". I'm thoroughly enjoying all the inspiring contributions and amazing discussions!✨

Thank you Gerry Canavan (parody) @GrahamJMurphy1 et al for the enormous effort of putting together #SFRA21! Madeline Ashby Joy Sanchez-Taylor & @larsxl_hh all gave fantastic keynote lectures, and the panels I attended were no less insightful & innovative.

Julia Gatermann and @larsxl_hh provide a warm country report on the state of SF in Germany: sfrareview.org/2021/07/22/sfr…

After listening to thought-provoking scholarly talks by people such as Julia Gatermann & #SiSophieWhybrew at #gff2021,my happytired brain is now filled with "dizzy effervescence" from #SofiaSamatar's wonderful reading of her "Fairy Tales for Robots".✨🧠✨ sofiasamatar.com

On my way to Tampere, Finland, for the Lisääntymisen tulevaisuus conference. I‘ll be speaking about Larissa Lai’s Tiger Flu on an sf panel with Heather Latimer Dr Anna McFarlane and Karen Weingarten. Feel blessed to finally get to meet and connect with everyone face to face (again)!!! ✨✨✨

Myself and my fellow Lisääntymisen tulevaisuus panelist Julia Gatermann have chapters relevant to conference themes in Technologies of Feminist Speculative Fiction. Let one of us know by tweet/DM if you're interested in reading :) #reprofutures2022 #sciencefiction link.springer.com/book/10.1007/9…
