Happy to see my work about #SingleAtomAlloys published in The Journal of Physical Chemistry. Exciting collaboration with experiments from Ryan Hannagan @CharlesHSykes and support from my mentors Michail Stamatakis UCL Chemical Engineering and Angelos @icegroupcam Cambridge Chemistry See here -> doi.org/10.1021/acs.jp…
A new paper identifies periodic trends for adsorption energies around single-atom alloy active sites, which will aid the understanding of processes on this promising class of SAA catalysts. Julia Schumann @icegroupcam Michail Stamatakis fal.cn/3j88q
I'm excited to share our latest article on zeolite-encapsulated single-atom catalysts for CO2 conversion lead by Gerard Alonso, a nice collaboration with IQTCUB 🇪🇸 and Ingeniería Universidad de Concepción 🇨🇱 bit.ly/3EuAVF6 Zeolite_papers CO2_papers (1/2)
Excited to announce an opening for a postdoc position (see link for details). Closing date 10th Feb. Research Associate - Computational and Theoretical Chemistry of Polar Surfaces in Solution (Fixed Term) Cambridge University jobs.cam.ac.uk/job/33089/
Thrilled to bits 🎉 to see our collaborative work on Single-Atom Alloys receiving a Faraday Div. Horizon Prize🏆Keep your eyes peeled for more to come UCL Chemical Engineering @icegroupcam @CharlesHSykes @michailstamatakis #singleatomalloys #RSCPrizes #RealTimeChem rsc.org/prizes-funding…
I still cannot believe my time @icegroupcam has come to an end. Very greatful for an incredible mentor and great colleagues. I could have never imagined how the world has changed in <4 years since I joined, but so glad I was part of the @icegroupcam and supported by Humboldt-Stiftung
We need a change in how #catalysis reseach is done and published. Sharing #FAIR data has to become the norm in order to use the full potential of research data. Happy to be part of the team FAIRmat and work with Annette Trunschke Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society to help with this transition.
Chuffed to bits! Our latest work on SingleAtomAlloys is now out in Nature Chemistry Check our 10-electron rule and design your catalysts wisely 🧠 ⚛️ So grateful to Michail Stamatakis & @icegroupcam for letting me lead this work with Julia Schumann. nature.com/articles/s4155…
Michail Stamatakis: "After a decade of intense research on single-atom alloys, we now have an elegant, simple but powerful theoretical framework that explains binding energy trends and enables us to make predictions about catalytic activity." Read more: chem.ox.ac.uk/article/as-eas…
🔬 Exciting Discovery! The new 'ten electron' rule revolutionises single-atom alloy catalysts design. Scientists can quickly find promising catalysts for targeted chemical reactions by simply using a periodic table. 💡 Nature Chemistry #Chemistry ch.cam.ac.uk/news/easy-coun…
