I was honoured to join CALP (Campaign and Advocacy Leadership Program) cohort 14, in Istanbul, Turkiye . An Oxfam International global leadership course that strengthens capacity for leaders within advocacy spaces. We were 22 leaders (CALPers) from 21 countries. The diversity was enriching.

Met the Chief Officer- Gender, Youth& Sports, Mombasa County Government. We discussed a partnership on PWDs sessions within the Resilient Recovery program for vulnerable urban households. We'll jointly translate AWAK curriculum into braille & audio-visual, to enhance inclusion.

We had a successful Trainers of Trainers training on mental health in partnership with StrongMinds organisations. The 50 TOTs trained will support in conducting mental wellness sessions for all program participants. Mental health is integrated within all AWAK programming.
