Like I said previously you need a second computer at least to fix problems with other computers. Plus, I don’t have on CDs ways I used to fix a lot operating systems problems or hardware.

I am way ahead of a ton people even just using Linux. Yes, I am facing major issues but that’s because I am customizing Linux not something you can do too much on Windows.

I figured out somewhat why Linux or at least why Debian crashes. Linux and even more with these distributions are just a ton of things on top of each other. Microsoft and Apple really are masters at operating systems. Not too much customization but mostly more stability.

I did this using apt show. I looked at this depends with that and so on. You uninstall this and this crashes the operating system somewhat or completely.

You can make the case for many geographical areas Muslim conquered and even them supposedly came to the Americas from Asia. Don’t think you are smart.

I basically give up. I was mainly trying to save hard drive space because my hard drive is like 64 GB. Just using Linux I have a useable laptop but I have to accept I am not a computer genius. I did learn a few things that can be useful. Hopefully, no more reinstallation.

So far 4GB something on my Linux Debian installation. Compare that to Windows 11 that only left me with close to 10GB free space!

Okay, I am on my way of being more computer savvy of course not to the level of being a complete expert but the majority of people won’t even reach my level. I will purchase a small desktop form that I can connect to the television I bought not to long ago.

I think it is not good Debian installs by default LibreOffice and other things. They should have an option by the semi-guided installation process to have the bare minimum.

Juan De Chi 🏴🏳️ (@juandechi) 's Twitter Profile Photo

With the guided installation process you with the bare minimum you can’t even logon on to Debian until you install a Linux logon manager like for example lightdm and pick a desktop environment that is a command line process with apt.

The last step of the installation of Debian you can pick a desktop environment or several but this installs a ton of software you don’t necessarily like. If you pick several desktop environments they are mostly if not all more virtually base or more like server OSes.

I know the window manager is pretty much installed, if you pick a desktop environment but I was just playing around. Sometimes you learn things or new things doing things differently.
