On June 21, we recognize National Indigenous Peoples Day to honour the history, heritage and diversity of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples in Canada. Students and staff across the SCDSB have been participating in various initiatives to honour Indigenous history and culture.

Our staff is engaged today in professional learning about high impact instructional strategies in math. We are also increasing our understanding of diverse identities, and contributions within Canada and the world in order to authentically incorporate them into our classrooms.
