Can’t believe 3rd years fellow conference is over. I wouldn’t have made it without my awesome cofellows. We are already planning to coordinate when we attend NASPGHAN’s jr faculty conference in 1-7 years! Janice K

Best mentor(s) I could have ever asked for! Thank you for investing so much time & energy in me - I am in constant awe of how you do it all. 🥹 So fortunate to be trained by the best of the best Nationwide Children's Hospital! Still in denial that fellowship is over 😥

PhD candidate Julia van der Zande presented her sham-controlled trial of posterior tibial nerve stim⚡️ for constipation in kids w PFD. 😳 ➡️ PTNS was safe, feasible, and led to more consistent improvement in constipation severity when added to biofeedback therapy. 2/3

And @NCHPedsRes (and former The Ohio State University College of Medicine student researcher) Dennis Yang presented his Poster of Distinction on rumination & #EoE. 👏 ➡️ EoE is more common in kids w RS, but RS Sx don’t improve w EoE treatment alone - have to treat the RS. 3/3

Dr. Julia van der Zande presenting the 1st study of interrater reliability of anorectal manometry in kids at #DDW2025! ➡️ Correlation between 10 experts was fair for RAIR, moderate for bear down ➡️ Tells us we need clinical context - but also need to clarify criteria? 🤔

Former Nationwide Children's Hospital GI fellow Janice K w her RDBPC trial on baclofen for kids w #rumination. ➡️ Baclofen 0.5mg/kg (up to 15) div TID was well-tolerated ➡️ Baclofen led to improvement, but not superior to placebo 🤔 She completed this during fellowship! More to come. 😃
