As the Ford government continues to push for education cuts that hurt our students, educators will continue to take a stand to demand that #onpoli invest in public education. Check out ETFO's new radio ad, it launched today on stations across Ontario. #CutsHurtKids #RedforEd

We know this is a difficult time for everyone. We're trying to reach ALL #OCDSB families to make sure they are okay and ensure they have what they need to continue to learn at home and be well. Despite all our efforts, we still haven't reached everyone. We need your help. 1/3

Although we appreciate a tweet about the status of schools next week, educators/ed. workers who are not on Twitter deserve to have the same info. School boards and ed. workers shouldn't have to wait until the afternoon before a long weekend to find out what is happening.

If NYC can do it, we can do it. But instead, Ford is making online learning permanent, taking $$ out of our schools to fund & privatize public education. #InPersonSchool #onpoli #onted nytimes.com/2021/05/24/nyr…

Just this past weekend we saw firsthand what reopening splash pads and outdoor activities can do to a child’s spirit.   We’ve reopened golf course, we’ve reopened basketball courts, we’ve reopened tennis courts.   Premier Ford, now it’s time to reopen schools. Doug Ford

NEW From Mike Schreiner "By insisting on everyone coming to a ‘consensus’ on schools, Doug Ford is fully abdicating his responsibility as Premier and failing children. Being Premier isn’t about being popular. It’s about making the tough decisions." #onted #onpoli

Nothing says, I care, like addressing your letter "To whom it may concern" It concerns 2 million students, 4 million parents, 250,000 education workers. It's May 27th and Doug Ford just now thinks to compose this letter requesting input? #onpoli

If schools and kids had been this government’s priority, all education workers would be vaccinated, schools would have the extra staff and resources necessary, tracking and testing would have given us better data. These conditions are not in place.

Nothing to see at the TDSB yesterday except for the fact that 5% of its schools were closed due to staffing issues. Substitute teachers are in demand across ON, yet nothing will be done to adequately address the growing crisis.
