Respect for the choices,desires,rights & dignity of Gender Based Violence(GBV)survivors should be the foundation of all decisions and activities of support. Regardless of their age,sex,color,marital status,or other characterstics,survivors must be treated fairly and equally.

Women must be at the center of gender-based violence prevention efforts while men need to join such efforts as allies.Gender transformative interventions that engage men in thoughtful ways can be highly effective. Men have a pivotal role to play in breaking the cycle of violence.
