As we reflect on the HBCU Caucus Convening and #TeacherAppreciationWeek , it's important to remember the impact of black teachers, with nearly half being HBCU graduates. Supporting diversity in education through initiatives like One Million Teachers of Color is key to empowering educators & students.
As Governor Hunt said, teachers sacrifice their time and put all of their energy into bettering the lives of our students. Itās critical to uplift and support our educators this week and every day. #TeacherAppreciationWeek

Mobile trailers have provided additional space for accommodating more students and have helped with overcrowding in schools in Wake County. Due to the high cost of maintaining these trailers, Wake County Public School System is planning to reduce their number.
