Welcome to the Opening Ceremony of #HLF24! Our Masters of Ceremonies James Spann (is also on Bluesky!), alumni of the 9th HLF 2022, and Jordan Aiko Deja, also alumni of the 9th HLF 2022, will guide you through the Opening.

We are pleased to have so many great guests at the Opening Ceremony for #HLF24. Now it’s time for some welcome addresses, starting with Jens Brandenburg, Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Education and Research, from @bmbf_bund.

And now Frauke Melchior, Rector of Heidelberg University Uni Heidelberg, wishes all attendees of the #HLF24 an amazing week with lots of networking and interaction.

Rafael Lang, Chairperson of the Heidelberg Laureate Forum and Co-President of the Klaus Tschira Stiftung, encourages all participants to enjoy stimulating discussions, inspiration and fruitful collaborations.

Anna Wienhard, the Scientific Chair of the Heidelberg Laureate Forum, highlights some of the program points of the upcoming week.
