My favorite part of the racist “Zohran will destroy NYC” discourse is that the same people have been telling us for years that liberals already made NYC a shit hole. So I’m very confused by their new found love for our city.

If a more moderate Democrat beats a progressive in the 2028 primary (as in 2016 and 2020), it will be tough to convince progressives to unite behind the nominee when the Democratic establishment won't rally behind Zohran Kwame Mamdani after his convincing primary win.

One of these people embraced UPK before the “start of 2014.” Must be a total coincidence the other guy embraced it then, because definitely no other intervening mayoral elections happened that could have forced the other guy’s hand.

Having grown up in NYC and lived in 6 or 7 states including big cities, medium cities and small towns, then moving back, I have to disagree. Everything in NYC costs more, a lot of that stems from real estate cost but it’s a real and broad problem we have to tackle aggressively.
