Alex Rodriguez asked a question. Reggie Jackson answered it. (Shouts to the producer and rest of the desk for staying out of Reggie’s way and just letting him talk. I doubt they expected this answer. But it’s a great few minutes of television.)

It's pretty telling that the number of farmers answering that diversifying outside of ag has been critical to their success in farming is interesting. Some good convo in the thread.

People have been fraudulently setting up sites to scam farmers on distribution deals. This scam pretends to be Kroger. The IP address may be useful in getting something done. Since my biz is in STL maybe FBI St. Louis can help (submitting it to their tipline)

Thank you Michael Barbaro for the Donohue episode. You brought back memories of watching the show and the context of how unique he & his show were, how he elevated regular people is something that deserves contemplation. Always liked him, big fan of his longtime wife Marlo Thomas.

People don't understand the problems with ChatGPT and cheating. I recently saw a student taking some kind of online knowledge test for her sorority. She had a split screen: On one side was the test, on the other was ChatGPT. She'd copy each question, paste it into ChatGPT, and

A @NEPorkProducers farmer is pleading for more immigrants: “Legal, illegal… I don't care. Invite them to Nebraska because we have lots of openings out on our farm and we need help.”

There is an arrogance that comes with being a farmer in his 20-30s who knows with family they have a backstop if things go south. They won’t publicly admit it, I wouldn’t have. But that arrogance gets replaced by a lot of stress when you realize you are the backstop of the farm.
