Another wild pitch and the Vols take the lead! Chapman reaches 2nd and the Vols are looking to continue piling this on. These fans are rabid!

James Donovan (@jpdonovann) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Rabid might not be enough to describe the reaction this crowd just had to Levi Clark taking a pitch to the shoulder. Both teams getting chippy with eachother as the coaches and officials look to calm everyone down. One thing is certain: this crowd is everything Fischer asked for

MANNY MARIN. After an inning of emotions, Marin unleashes a bomb straight past the wall in right center and adds 3 more runs for the Vols! Every single person in this stadium is on their feet and screaming. Vols lead 6-2 with 2 outs and the top of the order coming around.

I think Andrew Fischer is happy with the crowd. He lets them know on two outs and two strikes by smashing the Vols 2nd home run of the inning straight into the parking lot and putting 2 more runs on the board. Vols now lead 8-2 with Ensley back up to the plate again this inning.

Ensley strikes out swinging to end this 7-run explosion of a 4th inning for the Vols. Tennessee entered trailing by one and now leads 8-2 as we approach the halfway point of the game.

We wouldn't be playing today if both these teams didn't have a whole lot of fight in them. Wake Forest's Matt Scannell says I can hit the long ball too and sends one deep past the left center wall for a 2-run homer of his own. Deacons cut the lead down to 8-4 with just one out.

Vitello opts to call the bullpen following the home run and out comes Dylan Loy to take Krenzel's place on the mound. Loy played the first inning yesterday before Arvidson took his place and put on a show. Let's see what the lefty has in store today.

Loy cleans up the rest of the 5th with a grounder and a strikeout to bring the Vol bats back out to the plate. Tennessee leads 8-4 and are looking to keep this crowd pumped by pouring more onto the lead.

Wake Forest switches things up at the mound again and sorts through all three Vol batters with ease. Score stays unchanged as we enter the 6th with Tennessee retaining their 8-4 lead. Deacons looking for a quick answer to cut that lead even more after the 2-run shot last inning

Dalton Wentz places a ball perfectly into left field for a double with just one out as the Deacons try to cut into this 4-run lead. Vitello decides to call on the bullpen again and bring in Tanner Franklin for Loy.

Wentz steals 3rd and on the very next pitch Austin Hawke helps him reach home with an RBI-single into left-center. Wake Forest cuts the Tennessee lead down to 8-5.

Wake Forest hold the Vols scoreless through the 6th and enter the 7th trailing by 3. They've scored 3 runs in the last two innings as they continue to try and claw back the Tennessee lead.

Vitello calls the bullpen once more with 2 outs and this crowd is on their feet with excitement. It's time for Liam Doyle to take the mound one last time at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

Wake Forest brings out their ace Blake Morningstar in response to Fischer drawing a leadoff walk. Hunter Ensley doesn't care who's pitching, as he sends a ball straight down the right line for a single. Fischer reaches 3 and the Vols are in prime position to extend their lead.

James Donovan (@jpdonovann) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Ensley stole 2nd while Dalton Bargo was at the plate and Dean Curley followed up Bargo's strikeout with a 2-RBI single, extending the Vol lead to 10-5.

James Donovan (@jpdonovann) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Back-to-back doubles from Manny Marin and Gavin Kilen will put another run on the board for the Vols as they continue to extend this lead! Vols now lead 11-5. Lindsey Nelson's favorite is up to the plate next and Wake Forest won't even give him a chance. Instantly walked.

The Tennessee Volunteers are three outs away from booking their trip to Fayetteville for the super regionals. There's not a man on this planet that these fans here at Lindsey Nelson Stadium trust more to get them those three outs than the man standing on the mound, Liam Doyle.

Tennessee closes the Deacons out and are headed to the supers! Vols win it 11-5 over Wake Forest and have a date with Arkansas next weekend in Fayetteville with a chance to return to Omaha!
